Ok, you downloaded a file with Mozilla, and you don't know where it was downloaded to on your directory tree... If you did not change the browser default for downloads (which should be under 'Tools | Options | downloads' or something similar, then it was probably set to dump things in the most obvious place... your 'home' directory, which would be '/home/[your-user-name]' or... if you are running as root, '/root'. You did not mention which graphical desktop you are using, but most of them are the same, in that they have an icon on them that says 'Home' or the name of your graphical file manager, and when you click on it, it opens to your home directory... or, at a command prompt, just type the 'cd' command without any argument, press 'Enter', and it will take you home. -wittig http://www.robertwittig.com/ . http://robertwittig.net/ ------------------------ Yahoo!
