Java 2 SDK, Standard Edition, v. 1.4.2_04
And NetBeans IDE 3.6
Software Cobundle for the Linux Operating System

This download contains both the Java 2 SDK, Standard Edition (Java 2 SDK), v
 1.4.2_04 for the Linux operating system and the NetBeans IDE 3.6 integrated
development environment. 
This file can be used to install the Java 2 SDK software and NetBeans IDE in
a directory of your choice. You do not have to be a root user to use this
installer unless you choose to install this cobundle in a system-wide
location. 
Both Java 2 SDK, v. 1.4.2_04 and NetBeans IDE 3.6 have been tested on the
following Linux distributions: 
Linux Red Hat 9 
Java Desktop System 2.0
Installing the Java 2 SDK, v. 1.4.2_04 and NetBeans IDE 3.6 Software
Cobundle
Download the installation file into a directory of your choice.
Check that the file that you have downloaded,
j2sdk-1_4_2_04-NB-3_6-bin-linux.bin, has the same number of bytes that is
indicated on the download page. If the file size does not match, the file
might have been corrupted during download. In that case, try downloading
again. 
Prepare for installation.
