Talking about mail server and workstations (mail clients) in a LAN.
I have following understanding, please advise, if anything wrong,
1.
mail client on a workstation (elm, pine, mutt, mail) --> must use
telnet to access --> mail server in the LAN
2.
mail client on a workstation (Evolution, Mozila mailÂ…) -->
POP/IMAP/SMTP setting to access --> mail server in the LAN
