by typing sudo gedit (or any other text editor) /boot/grub/menu.lst
you will have the grub boot config file, look out for a line that says default 0 this means it will boot from 1st option by default, so to work round your problem either change the value from 0 to what ever option is required - it will probably be 3 if your boot menu has the order ubuntu ubuntu recovery mode mem test windows OR move the windows section of code in front the the ubuntu code Cheers Mark PS you can always increase your timeout to a higher value just so you don't get caught in a windows boot when you use it. --- In [email protected], "Mark" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > I just installed Ubuntu 6.10 to dual boot with Windows XP.
