there are logs of distros that are free. most generally are. a couple of good 
sites for CD downloads are below. DistroWatch gives a good description of the 
OS which is always helpful also. 
www.linuxISO.org currently i think the site might be down but 
http://www.linuxiso.co.uk is working fine. 
http://distrowatch.com/

if you google the name of the distro you are after you will more than likely be 
able to find a local mirror to download from.

I used to have an e-mail with an address to get free distrobutions of 
linux. I can't seem to find it. Does anybody know where I can get a free
