Hi

I'd go for Vector Linux (Not the SOHO version) for an
install & possibly SLAX (Look at the different
versions available...) for use as a CD live disk.
Xubuntu might be good also and could be installed or
just used as a live disk.

Puppy linux would fly on your machine and has just
enough apps to create a useful box, Damn Small is good
also...

As previously mentioned have a scan around Distrowatch
