linux is just the kernel and not the operating system, I hope you are
speaking about some distro unless you mention that no one can
understand what is that.

to the most extent GNU/Linux any distro can detect your hardware you
it dint #dmseg and find the name and post it on the list so that
someone can help you to install or configure that.

programs or software don't come with extension .exe in the cause you
want to run some of the m$ software you can use wine(windows emulator)
but all exe's cannot be run by this way might support or may not
depends on the .dll that it require.
