Jim, where you went wrong is that you used the wrong type of software
tool. While a *.iso file can be expanded/de-archived by any archive
program worth its salt, what you really wanted to use was CD burning
software such as Nero or Ashampoo's Burning Studio. The *.iso image
contains not only the files you saw, but hidden boot sector data that
can *only* be transferred by using the whole image.
