First you have to remember to burn your linux distro to the correct form of
bootable disc. For mac, I believe that is ISO 9660. You can use the OS X disk
utility to burn the disk, or K3B on a linux box works great. Once you have your
disc made, you can boot from it. Just remember to hold down the "C" key during
startup so the mac will know to boot from the CD drive. After that,
installation should be the same as on any other machine.
