Greetings Folks,

Appreciate the feedback from those that were able to post on this
discussion. Also for this fine Linux Group.

I'm not sure if I explained what this setup is all about? Hoping to
keep it short.....? Have a Sherline CNC Mill that uses Linux EMC as
the Enhanced Motor Control. Debian BDI EMC & Ubuntu BDI EMC work and
compliment each other. Actually Sherline sends the Debian BDI 4.51 CD
some suggest & use the Ubuntu EMC. Not sure if I got this right but
its part of CAD/CAM process?

My setup was decided after I started to seek out the ways that others
using CAD to design & CAM to manufacture.

The way I thought one PC should do it? Actually one for CAD design
software was suggested. Windows base & Linux base for running the
different programs. Than a CAM PC to run the machine. That's two that
should duet.

The Debian & Ubuntu EMC, at this time, will be needed on the PC that
runs the mill. Got some very good input from those that posted how to
partion the HD to allow the Debian & Ubuntu to both install. Need to
understand the Linux jargon to be able to get it right??

That's PC One and what is required, one HD - two partions Debian -
Ubuntu distros involved. Probably try again a bit later after
reviewing the posts again. See if I can make any sense of
Automatically or Manual setting up partition jargons?

The other PC interested in setting up, at this time, as Roy pointed
out?? Two HDs! One HD for Windows OS only & the other HD for multiple
Linux OS partitions. Probably just the two mentioned. Sounds
promising! However, I haven't the foggiest with the basic language.
"Linux in a Nutshell"! Makes sense.......

Didn't intend to get so long. Enjoyed receiving your input. Thanks
again for your assistance. I'll be standing by. You have made a
difference.

When I first posted my intentions were to install the Debian & Ubuntu
EMCs on just one HD in partitions for one PC.
