Response:
Sounds like a possible graphics conflict. I searched for an "CE
Alternative Install" cd in vain, but the creators of CE claim to have a
script which will convert standard Feisty to CE Edition. Perhaps you
could do a standard Feisty install from an Alternative Install DVD/CD
and use the script to "convert" it.
Could you be more specific about the model number? I'm not sure I've
ever heard of a "DNS".
