On Friday when KDE 4 was released, like millions of others
I eagerly installed it from the repos and all went well...but
now I have both GUI's - 3.5 and 4.0??
UbuntuGeek.com has a tutorial for how to install and upgrade
so that 4.0 is your only interface. All seems logical until
their last paragraph...
"To avoid having to start a second X server for a full session
install xserver-xephyr and run Xephyr :1 & export DISPLAY=:1;
xterm and run startkde in the Xerphyr xterm."
...I came to linux during the reign of Feisty Fawn, so I'm fairly
new to the lingo. I've installed xephyr, but could someone decode
the last line and tell me exactly what I need to type into what
I'm guessing is the terminal to make 3.5 go away??
Thanks,
Michael
