ls -l or ls -lt -> lists the dir with modified time
ls -lc -> lists with change time (Change Attribute Time)
ls -lu -> lists with access time

Modified time -> Time last change made in the file (last write time)
Access time -> Time last read from the file (last opened in read mode)
Change time -> Time change of the attribute like permission (chmod)

New member to the group, I hope this is the right forum for this type of
 question.

I am confused on this topic.

 ls -lR

 ls -luR

 ls -lcR

I read the manual, but it does not make sense to me. It appears that the
"u" is the last accessed time? Not sure what the "c" option is, I think it
 is last attribute modified time?

If so, then I have the following questions: what is the difference between
last accessed, last modified, and last attribute modified times?

 Thanks

 Mark Lunday
