Hey,
OK so I finally made the choice to dump M$ and put PCLinuxOS on my laptop.
80 gig hard drive
512 RAM
1.8 Gzh
Anyways, I found instructions on the net at
www(dot)dedoimedo(dot)com/computers/install_pclinuxos(dot)html
But I guess I missed something or did something wrong. I went through
the steps and there were a few things different in my install than
what the page said I would get. One is when it listed the boot menu it
only had 2 lines listed and not 3 (the one missing was Linuxnonfb
(/boot/vmlinuz). Because once I get through the install removed the
LiveCD, rebooted the system all I get is the letter "j" in the upper
left corner of the screen.
So what I want to know is:
1) Is there a way to format the hard drive and start over?
2) Is there a "better" web site to get step by step instructions?
