Hi everyone, I've been lurking for awhile, and I've learned quite a bit.
I appreciate this group being here.

I just landed and editor position on a tech website. My job is to edit
articles about Linux. I started out as a writer on this site, and I do
know a bit about Linux, but my command terminal skills are well....
bad. The other night, I was trying to test command code in and article I
was editing and I had issues.

I copied/pasted the command into my terminal window. System asked for
password.. no problem. But when I tried to type my password, I found my
keyboard was unresponsive.

I've tried several time, and continue to have the same problem.
I'm using Ubuntu Hardy Heron on a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop. It's a
brand new laptop, we bought it on Friday. Installed Ubuntu Friday night.
Technically, it's a dual boot.. Vista\Ubuntu but the Vista partition has
only enough space to keep it from complaining.

I've had no other keyboard problems.

Any suggestions?

Thanks everyone

Yvette
