It is a good solution if you need to always be in Windows or don't want to risk 
much. Once you have tried wubi and want to take the next step know that you can 
convert your wubi installation to a full one and move it to a separate 
partition on its own file system instead of riding along on NTFS or FAT32 with 
all of the problems they have (fragmentation and the file table is not 
journalled leading to potential data loss if you crash, not that Windows ever 
crashes).

You will need a utility called LVPM to move the wubi installed Ubuntu from your 
Windows c: drive to its own partition and change the bootloader. I am not 
saying you should just that it is the next step towards Windows freedom.
