It cost me under $30 and it includes wireless, usb and ethernet
connectivity. I assigned a static IP address to it (192.168.2.15, for
example) and then when setting up the printer from any OS I choose
network printer and point the OS to the static IP. It detects and
connects. It is simple and it works perfectly. The advantage is that
it can print even when the other computers are off or re-booting. In
your setup, if someone re-boots Vista while you are printing it won't
print. Just something to consider.

I am wondering what brand of print server you have and where you got
it. I am having a problem printing from my laptop over the wired lan
to my Windows Xp machinge. Your solution sounds good to me.
