Again, this is an oracle issue having nothing to do with Linux. I 
don't believe version 9 of the Oracle DB can import a version 11 
export. Might I suggest setting up a database link between the two 
databases and moving data that way? If they are on the same physical 
machine, then you will have to resort to dumping your data to scripts 
and using them. BTW, I had the same issue trying to import an 11 
export into 10G, both on Linux.
