Ntldr is Windows. Linux does not use ntldr. You cannot use the Windows bootloader to boot Linux. In fact Windows is dumb to Linux's existence. You cannot even read a Linux formatted drive from Windows without the help of a third party utility, so it should not be surprising. Fortunately, Linux is smarter than Windows. It can boot Windows, Linux or any installed OS and read any kind of drive.
Linux uses a bootloader called grub that gives you a menu that allows you to choose between installed OSes. The rule of thumb is to install Windows first and make sure it is working properly, then install Linux. Linux will overwrite the Windows bootloader and install its own bootloader(grub). Linux will become the default OS and will boot automatically if you press nothing. This can be changed so that Windows is the default OS. Roy Linux: Fast, friendly, flexible and .... free!
