It is to be hoped that the people on this list that are not newbies are here to be ambassadors for the people looking to switch to Linux. If you're not willing to calmly explain to these newbies why you believe they are mistaken, and make a rational argument as to why Linux is superior, then I question why you're here. The fact is that this is a Windows/Linux hybrid list by design. We don't answer Windows questions, but we expect the people answering questions to know about Windows so when the inevitable "How do I do this Windows thing in Linux?" comes up, they can answer it. If you want a purely Linux list, there are plenty of others on the web-o-tubes. This is not one, and has never intended to be one.
