Did you enable smb file sharing on the Mac?  (By default, it shares via
AFP, which is Appletalk, I think.)
There's an extra button you have to push.  After clicking on file
sharing, click options, enable samba and uncheck AFP.

After that it should work, I just checked it on my wife's Mac and using
konqueror in CentOS.
