Everyone has probably heard the news (esp. Loyal)-- Mint has a Debian-based release now. Just curious to hear any thoughts on its potential. Personal opinion-- the purist side of me is absolutely thrilled, and this may avoid potential problems with the legal issues surrounding some included codecs. Then again, Ubuntu-Mint is so darned good at recognizing peripherals. Mark P.S. Call me lazy (it's true) but I just love finding a .deb download so that gdebi will do all the work. No wonder I'm a four-year newb!
