Fedora's grub only recognizes Fedora and Windows. However, it also uses UUIDs by default. I haven't worked with grub two--in old style grub, as mentioned in my other email, I just manually edit--that is, if I get a failed to find root type message, I reboot, then edit the kernel line. (Fedora--don't know about Ubuntu--has made the decision to have a 0 second grub timeout by default for no apparent reason, ignoring the many comments pointing out why it's a bad idea, so one has to either time hitting another key properly, which often doesn't work in VMs, or manually edit grub). -- Scott Robbins PGP keyID EB3467D6 ( 1B48 077D 66F6 9DB0 FDC2 A409 FA54 EB34 67D6 ) gpg --keyserver pgp.mit.edu --recv-keys EB3467D6 Begging Your Highness’ pardon, but are you sure you don’t mean sa’illienth é trathess? ‘Victory and honor’ is the traditional elvish battle cry. Not that there’s anything wrong with ‘Victory and bacon,’ mind you. --Hines ------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from this list, please email [email protected] & you will be removed.Yahoo!
