I just finished watching the two-disc set of Revolution OS. If you enjoy
history (especially history you can relate to), I highly recommend it. It has
interviews with a lot of the early Linux pioneers, such as Linus, Richard
Stallman, Bruce Perens and many others. I believe I got my disc set from
amazon.
There's a segment in there where they are taping at LinuxWorld ('92, I think)
and they present Stallman with the Linus Torvalds award. That in itself is
something, given some of the clashes through time. But the most "interesting
part is Stallman accepts the award from Linus, then Linus slides away from the
podium. While Stallman is talking, Linus walks behind him to back stage and
retrieves his oldest daughter, then takes her past the podium and sits in an
easy chair. Someone hoists Linus' younger daughter up on stage so they both
can sit with him. Well what struck me as odd was the fact that the cameras ALL
pulled off Stallman leaving him as simply a voice in the background, then they
all focused on Linus and girls.
That itself makes me wonder if it was something to bother Stallman and even if
it wasn't, if it DID bother him.
