Problem Question 8 CRASH

Yesterday
I had an accident with Linux Xubuntu.
I do not know why.
I did something wrong.
The mouse was not a < but a x.
And I could not reach the windows.
After 6 hours of blood sweat and tears
I used the "hammer":
I opened the taskmanager and killed all tasked with the term xfce in it.
And then and one order it was ok.
Question:
Is there another way
to set Linux or Xubuntu in the beginning position if again xfce gui is
detroyed?
