semplice problema di permessi, dovresti controllare in /etc/udev in che
gruppo sta il device raw

fai grep 1394 /etc/udev/rules.d/*

qua in locale mi da 
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/etc/udev/rules.d# grep raw *
40-permissions.rules:# Please note that raw1394 gives unrestricted, raw
access to every single
40-permissions.rules:KERNEL=="raw1394",                 GROUP="disk"

quindi nel mio caso l'utente deve appartenere al gruppo 'disk'
