While attempting to tag the tree early today to create a branch I ran into a problem. It appears Stefan has one of CVS's internal locks on src/cpu/p5 and so I can't get past that.... It is probably just CVS messed up somewhere but anyway. I will look back tomorrow and see what I can accomplish.
