Hi, I am trying to use LinuxBIOS with tyan/s2850 motherboard.
My goal is to see the whole boot process on display. We are doing pretty good with linux bios, with only one annoying problem: we can not get text mode display output. We are stuck with this problem for several months. We started from the following configuration: freebios2-20041222-0000 source tree. etherboot 5.2.6 to load kernel 2.4.24 linux. We are getting good output on the display since the end of tftp-download process. After getting a linux image it writes "... done" and the rest of output I can see only on RS232 console. Since december 2004, as far as I understood, some great job was done and now I can have all the output on my display (and I don't need any cool graphics on it, just white-n-black output) So I got the latest source-tree and made it work with the board. For a few days I am trying to get something on display and have no success at all. I don't see anything from the beginning. We are counting a lot on this tyan/LinuxBIOS pair and we are pretty stuck right now. Does somebody have this couple working with a display?
