Hello from Gregg C Levine
As the title implies I went to the Wiki to work out how to download
everything to bring myself into synch. It happens that the ones for
the old CVS storage need to be revised. Sometime ago those crazy
people at Source Forge rewrote the mechanisms behind the root for CVS,
instead of the one here,
cvs.freebios.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/freebios, they deleted the
project name from the server handle. It is only used at the slash
entries, such as cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/freebios . then do
everything the Wiki says to do.

Once that was done, and I pulled over the stuff for the two versions
there, I decided to use the mirror functions for the current Arch
based repository. Using the wget program to create a mirror of the
site, works.

I've convinced the client that Debian provides to work for Slackware.
Especially since none of the boobs who live on the newsgroup site have
answered my question there.

Now the question: Is the instructions given for using Arch, describing
the methods for simply checking out contents, without any need for
checking back in any changes? That is are they appropriate for what
I've described.

Or is there more here that I'm not following?
