More or less at request I have been feeding you smallish diffs so you can
make certain they hit CVS. So at this point nothing should break because
I haven't fed you the code that touches the common case and breaks anything
yet...

Cool. With a little luck I will have finished porting mkelfImage to
alpha by then. And I should be cleaning up my kernel patches for alpha
next week.
