I have an 'in practice' case where this has made a difference.  Our
system bootloads from a wireless PCMCIA card.  Etherboot dosen't
currently have support for PCMCIA devices or bridges so my only
option was by using Linux.  Hopefully, thats on the radar screen for
etherboot in the future.
