Yes, someone refactored x86emu a while ago and made it a lot smaller,
so that it would easily fit into a normal size bios together with the
rest of LinuxBIOS and the payload(s)

Only in the int callback emulation. The x86emu part itself is complete.

Cool! It probably makes sense to use a really old version of
XFree86/X.org and look at the changes rather than diffing the files
1:1..
