This sounds very weird. Are you doing this on the same system using the
same compiler? I suspect this is on 2 systems or using different
compilers or binutils, since these factors can and do affect code size a
lot (and make things break)
I just tried a "make clean" in a freshly created buildtree (using
buildtarget) and its exactly the same as without "make clean"
Can you try the same and check whether its different?
