Ron, please make the patch, testing against gcc > 2.95. I did a
quick bit of research and all of the va macros became simple calls to
builtins with 2.96. So we should be able to have a much simpler
header for that case.
I have so many other pieces to finish up on, so it would be a week or
two before I get to it as it works for me :)
