sis in uk

Hi I would like to build a linuxbios system as an incar mp3 player from
reading the list it seems to me the sis 630 based boards are best. The only
one that seems to be avaliable in the uk is the asustek board which seems to
have a 2mbit bios chip in a plcc package. Is it still possible to use the
standard flash instead of the DoC and would it be possible to build a rom
image this small.
