To compile LinuxBIOS, I use the documentation:

Here is the step 4:
Step 4) Get the MTD utilities from http://www.linux-mtd.infradead.org/
(see the instructions at that site)
cvs -d :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/cvs co mtd
cd mtd/util
sh -x MAKEDEV
make
(You need the erase utility)
Install the erase utility where it is in your path.
When I compile mtd, The compilation fails, but The utility erase is
compile, so I have copy it in /usr/bin
