Hi,
Sorry to bother you all with these probably stupid questions, but i'm
very interested in linuxbios.
I was wondering if i could get some help figuring stuff out.
I've recently bought a pcchips 810LMR motherboard for test purposes with
linuxbios (linuxbios supports the sis chipset on this board i believe)
(i know it's not a very good board, but it's just for testing)
The mainboard has a 2mb Flash rom chip, can i flash this with the
appropriate romimage. I haven't got a DOC Millennium(it's hard to get in
the Netherlands), so i was wondering if i could just flash the chip with
the romimage ??
What file should i flash, or do i have to have a DOC ?? because when i
compile linuxbios it generates the files needed for the DOC.
And if i can flash the bios with linuxbios can i then boot another
kernel from a hd ?
For instance, turn the pc on, linuxbios starts up and loads a kernel,
and this kernel starts another kernel(located on a hdd) ?? Is this
possible ?
Can Someone help me with this ?
I know these are stupid questions but hey i'm new to it.
Frank
