What I mean is can this timer be set so that it reboots the machine.
So for instance a piece of software that is running can keep resetting the
timer to stop the reset then if the software hangs for some reason (after
all we are all human and I don't think there is much code in the world that
has all its paths tested 100%) the machine will reboot itself and start
running through its setup and in turn run the program again. Hence the
machine can be left in the knowledge that if it hangs it will reset itself
rather than just hanging like you see some apps on some machines.
If this has always been on motherboards then I whish some apps that I have
had to use would support it.
