The SMBUS could be broken. For example, the ASUS CUA (Acer TNT2) has a totally non-working SMBUS, so SMBUS code on that mainboard does not work right. I am wondering if pradeep's card has a similarly broken SMBUS, so that DRAM configure is failing. Or it is also possible that pradeep's SDRAM is one of the models that has incorrect information in the EEPROM. I know that many BIOSes do not use SMBUS as it is so screwed up on so many mainboards and SDRAM modules. pradeep, you may need to write a user-level SMBUS program to confirm that SMBUS actually works on your mainboard. ron
