adam, I hate to say this, I lost track of what you want to do ....

you're trying to build the etherboot thing or the linux in 512k thing. 

Either way I'm hoping steve james will put in his $.02. But if not, we
have built a 512K flash part here with those options and
mkflashimage. Suravee did one last week.
