Greg have you read the HOWTO?

little more difficult then it should be. I threw the command in a
makefile long ago (shell scripts work too).
But when half of your problems are typos or the wrong information. It
is frustrating to deal with but it certainly should be workable. I
can run config and compile the whole tree in about a minute so what
you are really fighting is the learning curve on our current rough
product.
