Once again, my company is dsigning a product which is based on VIA
chipsets. We have 3 different models. One of them will have no display
chipset on board. For that model, we are planning to make our own BIOS,
for the other 2 we stick with Award for compatibility. The board is
equipped with a Compact flash connector to allow installation of
embedded software. So far, we are using a 4M (mega bits) flash bios
chip. The target operating system is Linux, and we are still working on
the design and layout stage of our board. I would like to use the linux
bios as the stock standard bios for our board. We only have a couple of
engineers in the project and we are lack of resources. I hope I can seek
help from the list and see if we can get rid of the Award (very slow)
bios.

regards,

David
