Hello from Ronald McDonald normally with McDonald's Family Resturaunts
I dunno about you guys, but when I see relatively healthy, normal,
companies advertising that their router/appliance is "Universal Plug and
Play Compliant" I ROFL pretty hard ...
Buuut, my alarm was dinging, so I set about finding who the gimboid
was that launched this, and to my complete lack of surprise, I found;
http://www.upnp.org/
.. (.. erm .. check the Copyright notice at the bottom) .. hmm.
But it went on ... I then found that Intel had written a complete SDK
for Linux; http://developer.intel.com/ial/upnp/
.. and even a ROM supplier had produced a RomUPnP kit;
http://www.allegrosoft.com/romupnp.html (!!?!)
What is wrong with these people? They've all finally decided to use
standards, and in the process created another standard ?
