Is the standard on board BIOS flash chip what you use to put
LinuxBIOS into? And have you ever "worn out" a chip by
having too many erase/write cycles? I'd like to play with
my BIOS (LinuxBIOS and see if I can get my own code running)
but I know that compactflash can only be written so many times
before going bad, and I don't know if PC BIOS flash chips
have the same issue. Is there a place one could order (for cheap)
replacement flash parts for a specific motherboard (or generic ones)?

BTW, I don't know if you guys use "failsafe" secondary bios functions
for burning the flash, but the old socket 7 MSI 5169 boards will
flash from a floppy, even if the main BIOS is completely trashed.

Thank you for your time.
