Well, whatever full bootloader we choose will have a default. If there's a
problem with the default, they can break out another computer to control
it by serial I suppose. If we try to cover all the bases, it's going to
make a mess *somewhere*. If you've taken a look at grub recently you'll
notice they already have some vga type functionality. If we want to add
framebuffers we can, there's no real size limitation on the last stage of
the boot loader.

Does anyone know how far a generic vesa framebuffer can get us?
