On your wanted list... "Flash part for the Sony VAIO Z505 series."
I'am not sure I understand exactly what you want. Do you want flash parts to replace the (non writeable?) part in the VAIO? Or do you just want the specifications for the part? In both cases, I'am not sure I see a very big problem. It looks like a standard 40pin TSOP flash part to me. the pinout is probably standard and the standard CFI programming algorithm should work. A little measuring and trace following should tell you if it requires a separate Vpp voltage, and at the same time confirm that it in fact is a standard flash part. If the part in place can't be programmed, then replace it with a programmable one, it's not that hard to replace SMD parts. If you can't figure out how to get access to program the part in software, then just hook it up to a flash programmer. --- Timmy Broli
