First I have a general policy of answering questions as publicly as I can to reduce the likely hood of needing to answer it again. Additionally by posting to the linuxbios mailling list I am not necessarily a bottleneck in answering peoples questions.

Checking the cvs log of ldscript.ld - that's where ld has > its hickup - reveals you had the latest check-in. Have you had this > problem? I would be suprised if it was the last time the linker script was touched that caused this. I have not had this specific problem. However we do push the linker very hard. And it's error messages are not especially useful. Knowing the contents of ldscript.ld and ldoptions would be extremely useful in debugging this problem. My hunch is that neither _ROMBASE nor _RAMBASE are getting defined, or I have inadvertenly used a linker feature that your version of ld doesn't support. So please get reply with ldscript.ld and ldoptions and I will see what we can do about getting this tracked down. Eric
