Ron can answer this one better. But basically Plan 9 is a major rethink/redesign of unix. Changing the motto from everything is a file to everything is a filesystem. And from what I've gathered it has parts that are designed for clustering type applications from the ground up. How that all works out in the real world I don't know. Eric
