I offered to build a LinuxBIOS for the NSC geode line for free to NSC 
but they weren't interested.

You can ask NSC for source to the ExpressBIOS/ExpressLoader. It's mostly 
(nasty Assembly code) source except for a few parts that they only 
release as a binary, which is why a full open source LinuxBIOS hasn't 
been built yet since nobody has bothered to reverse engineer the "secret 
parts" of the Geodes yet.
