AFIAK, the LinuxBIOS patch only cheat the kernel for existence fo ide0 
so the kernel don't think
there is a ide1. You probably have to modify the kernel patch a little bit.

If the board is jumperless, you have to program the clock gen, otherwise 
set the jumper correctly.
